This extender lets me plug into the docking stations, but it will only charge. It does not let me control the iPhone or even listen to music from the unit, which is what I bought the extender to do.

I wanted to use this to hook up my iHome Clock radio to my iPad but it did not work. It did work as a charger only with my iPhone. Requested a refund, not received credit yet.

Was looking for a way to extend my iTouch dock so I coud use my iPad for listen to music and this works like a charm!

When connected to my docking station, my iPhone battery will not charged. The music option did not work either. Kept receiving message stating there may be a hum on the line. However, when plugged directly into the power cord it charged the phone.
This was a waste of money.

I have a couple of docking devices and my phone would not fit into them while having the case on. Found these on Amazon and they fit the bill perfectly, no more having to peel the cover off all the time to dock my device. I can also hold the device in my hand while it's still connected in case I need to check emails or texts, highly recommend this item.
