 Three of the Five Cables were Excellent (2 DOA) Aug 03, 2011

How can I give five stars for two dead cables? The answer is that I only needed one or two, and the ones that work are excellent. My guess is this seller is using the extra items to offset the problems in quality control. If you can accept the premise and not feel screwed if some of yours don't work, this is a great bargain.
Regarding other functionality, as one person noted the plugs are oversized. That might be a problem if my iPhone were enclosed in a case with limited access, but I don't use a case. Also, unlike the Apple-supplied cable, the charging plug locks into the iPhone, so you have to pinch two release buttons to unplug it. The first time I encountered the issue it gave me a little scare, but now I find these to be features (not bugs), so I love the product.

As a family with 5 iPhones, 2 iPods and an iPad, cables are constantly vanishing. I thought this would be a good solution for that at a reasonable price - WRONG! We tried 2 of the 5 cables in the bag on two separate iPhone 4's, both with and without their cases. Even with overnight "charging", our phones did NOT charge with these. The overall quality is poor. I could live with that, but they should at least function properly! Sending them back for a refund. Paid the extra for CableJive cables. Have not been disappointed with those.

I've been wary about buying third party iPhone cables, since most of the other ones appear to not work (either not at all, or don't charge, etc). So when I saw this, 5 cables for $10 I was definitely a bit skeptical. But after reading reviews from everyone else I decided to give them a shot.
And I'm glad I did! All five of them work properly as chargers and connectors to my head unit in my car, and let me listen to my music. Considering I've broken two official Apple cables (at $30 a piece) in the car already through various things (like getting caught in the seats), I'm happy to have all of these cables, and at a huge savings over the official product! I'm tempted to buy more before they disappear!
Edit: I should mention that I used these with an iPhone 4.

Please do NOT waste your money Apr 26, 2012

Maybe I was expecting too much. Sure they didn't cost very much, but whatever you pay is going to be too much for these. I just got the package today (26APR) after ordering on 04APR. I unwrapped the first one and plugged it into my iPhone. The fit was very tight -- almost like it's just a teensy bit too big. I was happy when I heard the telltale tone to tell me that it was charging the device. I thought I'd test them all just to make sure they worked. When I pulled the first cable out of the device, it came apart. OK...I have four more. Unwrapped the second one. The plastic is warped and the metal part that attaches to the device is bent. OK scratch that one. On to #3. Same problem as the the second one...into the trash. Now number four. It also has that very tight fit, but I was able to attach/detach the iPhone without it coming apart. It's very flimsy, though, and I'm not confident that it will hold up to too many times being attached/detached. Discouraged, I didn't even bother to open the 5th one.

 First one dead in 3 weeks Mar 28, 2012

I was surprised to find out that the expected arrival date was 2-4 weeks after I placed my order. Turns out they ship from Hong Kong. Anyway, they arrived in approx 2 weeks.
I tested all five cables and they all worked! Yeah! Now, the first one is dead after 3 weeks of use. Hopefully, the others will last a little longer. I will say that I may be a little hard on cables due to it being plugged into a laptop that get moved around alot.
