Optical port is iffy Apr 04, 2011
By David The port for optical audio on the back of the VGA cable is kind of messed up. It's crooked and I have to tweak the cable to make sure it stays inserted right, otherwise it'll come out and the audio from the optical port will be gone.

If you are determined to hook your 360 up to a monitor with a VGA cable, you should consider the official Microsoft adapter as this cable produces a slightly fuzzy "ghosted" output. The image with this particular cheap cable isn't terrible, but it isn't good, either.
