Nice improvement over my VGA cable Oct 13, 2010
By Tod Gentille I have a Dell Studio XPS 1645 laptop. I was using the external VGA connector to connect a third monitor (the second goes through the Toshiba Dynadock) to my laptop. The VGA connector had two problems, first it has a tendency to fall off when bumped and secondly it didn't drive the monitor at the correct resolution. The Dell has an HDMI output and I decided to buy this cable to give it a try and it worked perfectly. The cable is secure, less bulky and drives the monitor at the correct 1680 X 1050 resolution. This cable seems very nicely made. This cable is such a bargain I ended up buying two, one stays in the office and one stays in the lab where I do some work.
