work great for me Dec 07, 2011
By Dan I have no trouble with these, they fit well, are a standard size, and work reliably. Rat Shack charges more than this for five of these connectors, $11 for five, or $9 for 100, you decide

Best Ones Yet! Jun 18, 2011

I have used them for Ethernet to using 2-4 pairs for different components such as; power, video, audio, signals (ir/rf), etc. These cat5 ends works, inexpensive; but most of all they didn't feel cheap. I am always skeptical buying new (never tried before) supplies online, I like to physically touch or trying out before buying. I wanted to see how much tension this thing can handle after being crimped down on cat5. Let's just say a ridiculous tension before coming undone. I will buy these again, especially being fraction of the price of the last 100pk I got and actually better too!

Ok, so one out of 5 crimped completely wrong but that could of been the crimper or simply an anomoly that would happen with any plug. Aside from that, these worked great. Yea, maybe I had to lift the tab up and yea, one didn't click at FIRST but seriously? Neither did $50 ones from Home Depot so suck it up, be a pro and make it work. These are worth it.
Works for me. Apr 30, 2009
By C. Perich This is the first time that I had to use this these RJ-45 plugs. My grandmother moved in to a new house with cat-5 cable going through most of the rooms. She had asked me to removed the cables since she did not need them. I had to cut the wires and figure that I could use them for myself. I bought these RJ-45 connectors to fix the wires and they worked perfectly. It is cheaper to buy the plugs and wires and put it together yourself, rather than to buy the complete wires at a store.
WARNING: In order to be able to fix wires using this connector, you will need an RJ-45 wire crimper. It is a tool that crimps the connector to the wire.

Garbage!!! Oct 27, 2011
By Mojoman I bought these and thought, what could go wrong? Well for the simple job they are intended, they fail miserably. I tried a few and all of them refused to stay secured in the ethernet port. Small amount of money but a waste none the less.
