Purchased two of these cables for the purpose recharging my iPad and iPhone while I use it in the bedroom. This product does NOT DO what the seller says it does. It is not compatible with the iPad and iPhone 3GS. I wrote to the seller, but did not receive a response. These junk cables will cost me more labour and costs to return to the seller than what they are worth. The cables are also very poorly constructed and takes a bit of wiggling to get them disengaged from the docking port. Poor seller as well...do not respond to messages.

I bought two cables for my iPad. When I plug the cables in they say that the iPad is charging, but it is an extremely slow charge. I plug my iPad in overnight and the iPad might go from 30% to 40%. The cables that came with the iPad would completely charge the device overnight. I love the longer cable, but they do not work well with my iPad.

I bought this for my iphone because the 2 and a half foot cord that comes with it is just too short. For a little while it worked fine and then it started telling me randomly that this accessory was not meant for my device. Then after a while it told me that every time I plugged my phone in. Waste of money for me. I am not sure if it would charge an ipod or not.

This product is the reason you should always read reviews. The cables will communicate between computer and iPad, but they don't work at all for charging. Then, as I was backing up my iPad, the backup stalled halfway through--screwing things up so completely I eventually had to reset my device.

I got this as an extra long charging cable for my iPad when I'm in a hotel room. Sadly, it doesn't charge the iPad, OR the iPhone. Dunno why, but that makes it useless, and not worthy of a single star.
