This adapter was a life saver Nov 03, 2011
By Leigh Purchased this adapter because I wanted to use my electronics when I went to Italy early this year and it worked wonderfully with all of the outlets that I plugged it in. I also got the added bonus of it working for me when I went to Turkey. I will say that I experienced some sparking when I unplugged an electronic from the adapter if it had been plugged in for a very long duration of time. I also only plugged electronics that convert their own charges like laptops so I dont know if it would work with small electronics such as a hair straightener. Because I was primarily plugging in my laptop having the grounded adapter was an excellent idea. For the price I would say that I got more than my money's worth out of it and if I ever need to buy another US to European adapter I would buy this one. If you are like me and waited to the last minute to order your adapters you will be pleased with the very fast shipping.
