Big Box stores prices on these makes me sick. They've successfully mystified the consumer with mumbo jumbo like higher throughput, better connections (ie "gold plated" etc, and then mark up the product AT LEAST 800 percent. Don't buy it, folks. HDMI is a digital connection; it either works, or it doesn't. There's no in between.

So this combo, which I use to connect a PS3 to my HDTV (1080p) works, and digital audio cable, which routes the sound from the TV to the stereo for surround sound also works, as advertised.

They came in two days, shipping was free, and best I can figure, I saved AT LEAST 50 bucks from big box prices, and the setup rocks. You might be able to use just an HDMI cable, depending on your setup, but if you do need both, don't fall for the mumbo jumbo, and don't hesitate to buy this kit.
