 Don't waste your money on more expensive alternatives. Apr 06, 2010

My original cable for my IPOD touch needed to be replaced. Pricing the OEM cables they were ridiculously expensive. I figured for $10 it was worth trying this package. I was pleasantly surprised to find that these worked perfectly and were of good quality. To be clear these work fine with my IPOD Touch(2nd Gen) when plugged into Power to USB adapter, KVM/USB Switch/Hub and directly to my PC. The cables, charge and sync data with no issues.
The connector to the IPOD does have releases on the side that need to be squeezed to detach your IPOD.
If you need a replacement cable buy these. For $10 you get 5 cables. Keep one on your laptop bag, keep some spares etc.

To start out, YES, WHAT YOU SEE ON THE IMAGE PREVIEW IS INDEED WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE!
I have tried looking for a better iPod Touch cable since my factory brand wires are ripped open at its joints. I saw the image and thought "YES! I need reinforced joints that would last longer than the original!" I eventually saw this product and was amazed. 5 Pack for only 4 bucks?? THAT IS DEFINITELY A GOOD BUY! I went ahead and ordered it.
The shipping was prompt; I received it relatively fast. I tested it out, and it works! IT DOES SYNC AND CHARGE! There are release push buttons on either side to remove, and it fits a lot more nicely than the original. Although it might be bulkier for others, I wanted that for its durability. A must have for when your factory brand wears out!! I used this on my iPod Touch 2g. Hope this review helps :)

The white plastic has broken on 2 of the 5 cables. We are still able to use them to charge our itouch, we just have to be a little careful or we get stuck.

It was great but 4 out of 5 cables worked. That's why I give it 4 stars. I know that it for sure works on the Itouch 2nd generation, because I have one. The the defective cable did not fry or kill my computer or my itouch, it just didn't sync, but I'm not sure if it was charging either (probably not). The other four all worked like my original apple cable. NOTE: The cables displayed where not the ones I got they look like apple new cables (quick release) I think. I will upload a picture. That's it, I'm still happy and I'm not going to return the defective cable cause of shipping issues I might encounter, I might tear it apart and use my creative mind to just create some thing using the defective cable.
I just order again and got all five of the cables in working condition. Brought from importer520 seller.
